Key Responsibilities
New Business & Revenue Growth
- Own and drive the agency's new business pipeline and revenue targets
- Identify, prospect, and convert new clients across industries
- Lead pitch strategy, proposal development, and negotiations
- Close high-value retainer and project-based deals
Client & Account Growth
- Build long-term relationships with CXOs, Marketing Heads, and Decision Makers
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across existing clients
- Work closely with Client Servicing and Strategy teams to ensure client satisfaction and retention
Strategy & Market Positioning
- Develop and execute the agency's business development strategy
- Identify new markets, sectors, and service offerings
- Track competitor activity, market trends, and pricing benchmarks
- Represent the agency at industry events, networking forums, and conferences
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Mentor and guide the Business Development / Sales team
- Align BD efforts with Creative, Strategy, and Operations teams
- Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and drive accountability
Reporting & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports
- Track conversions, revenue, and ROI from BD initiatives
- Present growth reports and insights to leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 812+ years of experience in business development within an agency (Advertising / Digital / Creative / Events)
- Proven track record of closing large-value deals and retainers
- Strong understanding of agency services (Creative, Digital, Media, Branding, Events, etc.)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong industry network and relationship-building ability
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on execution mindset
