As a Business Development Consultant (OT / ICS Security) at Shieldworkz, you will drive growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities across industrial and critical infrastructure sectors. You'll work closely with OT security consultants, engineers, and leadership to position Shieldworkz as a trusted advisor for securing ICS, SCADA, and IIoT environments against evolving cyber threats.
This role is ideal for professionals who understand industrial environments and can translate OT cybersecurity challenges into clear business value for clients.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and develop new business opportunities for OT, ICS, and industrial cybersecurity services
- Engage with CISOs, plant managers, OT engineers, operations leaders, and executive stakeholders
- Lead consultative discussions around OT risk, compliance, and security maturity
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, and critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with technical teams to scope solutions and align client needs with OT security offerings
- Support proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting using CRM tools
- Represent Shieldworkz at industry events, webinars, and client meetings
Qualifications- 3–7 years of experience in business development, consulting, or B2B cybersecurity/technology sales
- Strong understanding of OT, ICS, IIoT, or industrial environments (hands-on technical work not required)
- Experience selling cybersecurity services, OT security, industrial automation, or consulting solutions
- Ability to clearly articulate technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment
Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications- Familiarity with OT security standards such as IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, or NERC CIP
- Experience working with critical infrastructure sectors (energy, utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing)
- Background in consulting firms, MSSPs, system integrators, or industrial solution providers
- Existing network within OT, cybersecurity, or industrial technology communities
