What you'll do:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus exclusively on onboarding new sellers and ensuring their smooth onboarding and activation on our marketplace platform. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to guide sellers through the onboarding process efficiently, with a deep understanding of supplier clusters and the broader supplier base.

Seller Identification and Outreach:

  • Identify potential sellers across various categories to join the platform, with a particular focus on leveraging knowledge of supplier clusters and regional supplier bases.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage with sellers through direct communication, industry events, and partnerships.

Onboarding Process Management:

  • Identify potential sellers across various categories to join the platform, with a particular focus on leveraging knowledge of supplier clusters and regional supplier bases.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage with sellers through direct communication, industry events, and partnerships.

Onboarding Process Management:

  • Guide sellers through the end-to-end onboarding process, including commercial alignment, curation, agreement finalization, and account setup.
  • Ensure all sellers are fully aware and aligned with the ways of working for cross border selling
  • Train and support the sellers on the steps related to onboarding, catalog curation, sharing relevant templates and inventory build-up

Go-Live Activation:

  • Work closely with sellers to ensure their products are live on the platform within the agreed timelines.
  • Perform quality checks on product listings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
  • Resolve any issues or roadblocks preventing sellers from going live.

Supplier Cluster Awareness:

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of supplier clusters and regional supplier bases to identify high-potential sellers.
  • Build relationships within key supplier communities to facilitate long-term collaboration and onboarding pipelines.
  • Analyze supplier trends and clusters to enhance marketplace category diversity.

Performance Tracking and Feedback:

  • Monitor the progress of onboarding sellers and report key metrics to stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback from sellers to improve the onboarding process and enhance their experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer support, to facilitate seller onboarding and activation.
  • Share insights and recommendations to improve platform features and onboarding tools.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in seller onboarding, account management, or a similar role, preferably in e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, supplier clusters, and seller operations.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and onboarding systems.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven.
  • Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
