Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Associate role based in Chennai. The Business Development Associate will identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate leads, and build a strong sales pipeline for FirmsData's virtual data room solutions. The role involves conducting market research, understanding customer needs, preparing and delivering presentations and demos, and supporting sales pitches to prospective clients. The associate will collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop outreach strategies, follow up with leads, and maintain accurate records in CRM tools. Day-to-day responsibilities also include nurturing client relationships, gathering feedback from prospects, and contributing to initiatives that expand FirmsData's presence in target markets.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Effective presentation skills and experience creating and delivering professional presentations.
- Lead generation skills, including prospecting, outreach, and pipeline management.
- Market research skills to analyze industries, competitors, and customer segments.
- Ability to build relationships, handle client queries, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of financial services, capital markets, or B2B SaaS is an advantage.
- Comfort working with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and online communication platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines on-site in Chennai.
