Role Summary

The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by selling ProMunim's subscription-based accounting and business solutions to MSMEs across diverse industries. The role involves identifying prospects, converting leads into long-term clients, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding ProMunim's footprint across India.

The ideal candidate will be a highly driven sales professional with experience in B2B sales, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to articulate value-driven solutions to business owners, founders, and decision-makers.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales
  • Drive end-to-end sales of subscription plans for accounting, taxation, compliance, payroll, advisory, IT, and allied services to MSMEs across industries
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, digital leads, and field sales
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Conduct product demos and presentations explaining ProMunim's service offerings, value proposition, and pricing models
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, CFOs, finance heads, and entrepreneurs
  • Understand client pain points and recommend customized subscription plans
  • Act as the primary point of contact during onboarding to ensure smooth transition and high client satisfaction
  • Ensure long-term retention and up-selling of additional services
Market Research & Strategy
  • Conduct market research to identify new industries, geographies, and emerging MSME needs
  • Track competitor offerings, pricing, and market positioning
  • Provide insights and feedback to management for refining sales strategies and service offerings
Partnerships & Franchise Support
  • Assist in developing partnerships with consultants, CA firms, startups, and business networks
  • Support franchise-led growth initiatives by generating leads and collaborating with franchise partners
  • Participate in business events, seminars, exhibitions, and networking forums
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with accounting, compliance, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and closures using CRM tools
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong B2B sales and business development capabilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field
  • MBA (Sales/Marketing/Finance) is an added advantage
  • 26 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in:
  • Accounting & taxation services
  • Financial services
  • SaaS or subscription-based offerings
  • Consulting or professional services
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with MSMEs across multiple industries
  • Familiarity with GST, compliance, accounting, or finance-related services
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales analytics platforms
