Job Description: Sales Business Analyst (Analytics Role)

Location: Bengaluru

Department: Sales Operations

Reports to: Head of Sales

Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Sales Business Analyst to support our sales and marketing teams by providing in-depth data analysis, reporting, and optimization recommendations. This role is ideal for someone proficient in spreadsheets, data querying, and CRM tools with the ability to identify patterns and drive efficiencies. You will be the go-to person for sales data, performance tracking, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Build and optimize Google Sheets and reports using functions such as IMPORTRANGE, COUNTIFS, weighted averages, and other key data manipulation techniques.
  • Ensure that data insights are communicated clearly, with a focus on actionable recommendations for the sales team.

Tracking Conversions, Incentives, and Performance

  • Track and analyze conversion rates (CVR), Average Selling Price (ASP), sales targets, and day-to-day/monthly performance metrics.
  • Provide insights into trends, identify areas for improvement, and present findings to key stakeholders.

Sales & Lead Operations Support

  • Manage and clean lead data, track CVR, call metrics, and talk time.
  • Monitor for gaps, duplicate entries, and data accuracy to ensure smooth operations within the sales team.

Marketing Campaign Execution

  • Assist in creating, refining, and optimizing messaging for WhatsApp, email, and marketing campaigns aimed at driving conversions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the effectiveness of campaigns and implement changes based on data insights.

Handling Offers, Coupons, Referrals, Competitions, and Promos

  • Monitor and track performance related to promotions, referral programs, and other sales incentives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate implementation of offers and provide insights into the success of various initiatives.

Process & Efficiency Improvement

  • Design and implement frameworks, automation logic, and scripts to streamline data collection, reporting, and sales processes.
  • Push teams towards efficiency by encouraging regular data checks and actions based on the dataaiming to double efficiency in key operational areas.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with managers, teachers, ops, tech, and marketing teams.
  • Write clear briefs, summaries, follow-up messages, and escalation communications to ensure smooth collaboration across functions.

Quality Control & Governance

  • Perform regular audits on screenshots, call logs, payouts, and reports to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Flag inconsistencies, non-compliance, and potential loopholes in sales and marketing processes to maintain data integrity and business governance.

Skills Required:

Basic Skills:

  • Proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) with advanced functions (formulas, charts, filtering, Pivot Tables).
  • Foundational SQL knowledge for data querying and analysis.
  • Experience with CRM tools and managing sales data.

Good to Know:

  • Advanced formulas and data modeling techniques.
  • Automation skills (macros, scripts) for improving workflows.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries for advanced data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of business data analysis and insights generation.
