Role Overview
We are looking for a highly analytical and problem-solving oriented Business Analyst who can partner with cross-functional teams to drive data-backed decision making. The role involves translating business problems into analytical frameworks, generating actionable insights, and ensuring accurate measurement of product and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that influence product and business strategy
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, Marketing, and Business teams to understand key problems and define data requirements
- Define success metrics and measurement frameworks for new product features and initiatives
- Validate event instrumentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of data tracking for new feature launches
- Build dashboards, reports, and analytical deep dives to track performance across user lifecycle and product funnels
- Proactively identify growth opportunities, risks, and optimization levers through hypothesis-driven analysis
- Communicate insights clearly through data storytelling, visualizations, and structured recommendations
- Support experimentation culture by defining experiment metrics, evaluating results, and enabling decision making
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
- Hands-on experience working with relational databases and writing complex SQL queries
- Good understanding of data modelling, data validation, and metric definitions
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for exploratory analysis and business modelling
- Experience building dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into business impact
Good to Have
- Experience in Product Analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, etc.
- Exposure to experimentation frameworks (A/B testing)
- Basic understanding of scripting languages such as Python or R
- Experience working in consumer tech / edtech / subscription businesses
