Job Profile: Business Analyst

Location: Chennai, India

Preferred experience: 5.1-7 years

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Finance domain, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL, along with experience in requirements gathering, functional specifications, UAT, and SDLC. The candidate will have good understanding of financial applications and accounting concepts, with strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:

·        Interact with functional and technical teams to understand business functionalities, technical modules, integration mechanisms, and data sources.

·        Prepare functional specifications for developers and tester

·        Prepare test plans and conduct Integration, Regression, Performance, and Functional Testing.

·        Review functional specifications and test cases prepared by the IT team.

·        Provide functional assistance to Development and Testing teams.

·        Participate in peer reviews of functional specifications.

·        Conduct user training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

·        Ensure adherence to project and organizational SDLC standards.

·        Estimate efforts, plan schedules, and ensure timely delivery.

·        Work with teams to solve complex application and business problems.

·        Contribute to process improvement, innovation, and delivery efficiency.

·        Provide out-of-hours support and work in the afternoon shift when required.

Must-Have Qualifications:

·        Bachelor Degree or equivalent

·        Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst

·        Strong experience with Finance domain

·        Strong experience with SQL query

·        Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL

·        Experience in requirement gathering and functional specifications

·        Experience in UAT and Functional Testing

·        Experience with financial applications/products

·        Experience in Integration, Regression and Performance Testing

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience with financial applications/products

·        Experience in Integration, Regression and Performance Testing

·        Good understanding of SDLC

·        Good knowledge of Accounting concepts

·        Experience working with Development and Testing teams

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
