Job Description

Job Title: Business Analyst E-commerce & D2C

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 48 years

Department: Growth / Strategy / Business Operations

Reporting To: Head of Growth / Head of Strategy / COO

Role Summary

Our client is a fast-growing D2C and marketplace-led consumer brand operating across online, retail, and subscription channels.

They are looking for a MidSenior Business Analyst to act as the analytical backbone of the Growth & Strategy teams.

This role focuses on business problem-solving, strategic insights, financial modelling, leadership decision support, and cross-functional influence.

This is not a data engineering or ETL role.

It is a business-first analytics role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Performance Ownership

  • Own performance tracking across D2C, Marketplaces, Retail & Subscriptions
  • Build and manage executive dashboards covering revenue, funnel performance, profitability, CAC, retention
  • Drive weekly/monthly business reviews with leadership and influence priorities

2. Strategic Insights & Leadership Support

  • Partner with leadership on pricing, GTM strategy, category expansion, and new launches
  • Build financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
  • Diagnose business issues (CAC spikes, margin dips, demand slowdown) and recommend actions

3. Growth, Marketing & Funnel Analytics

  • Analyse full-funnel performance (acquisition conversion retention)
  • Evaluate channel efficiency across Meta, Google, Amazon, Affiliates, CRM
  • Support marketing investment decisions using CAC, ROAS, incrementality
  • Build LTV models, retention curves, and cohorts

4. Customer, Product & Category Insights

  • Perform customer segmentation (RFM, behavioural, demographic)
  • Analyse NPS, repeat behaviour, subscriptions
  • Partner with Product teams on funnel drop-offs, UX and landing page performance
  • Track category trends, competition, and pricing opportunities

5. Financial & Operational Analytics

  • Work closely with Finance on contribution margins, pricing, discounts
  • Support revenue planning and category-wise profitability
  • Monitor operational metrics: inventory health, fulfilment delays, cost leakages

6. Experimentation & Optimization

  • Design and analyse A/B tests for creatives, offers, landing pages, bundles
  • Translate experiment results into strategic decisions
  • Promote a data-driven experimentation culture

7. Cross-functional Leadership

  • Act as a strategic partner to Growth, Product, Marketing, Finance & Ops
  • Present insights clearly to senior leadership
  • Align teams on KPIs and performance frameworks

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • 48 years in Business Analytics / Strategy / Growth Analytics / Consulting / RevOps
  • Strong Excel / Google Sheets (financial & scenario modelling)
  • Experience with Power BI / Looker Studio / Tableau
  • Strong understanding of D2C & e-commerce metrics:
  • CAC, ROAS, AOV, LTV, conversion, retention, churn, contribution margin
  • Hands-on experience with GA4, D2C analytics, Meta & Google Ads
  • Comfortable working directly with leadership

Good to Have

  • Prior experience in D2C / FMCG / consumer brands
  • Exposure to subscriptions or omnichannel businesses
  • MBA (preferred, not mandatory)
