Business Analyst

About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to drive requirement clarity, product understanding, and execution readiness in a fast-paced HFT environment. The role focuses on doing the groundwork—analyzing requirements, structuring solutions, and ensuring that development teams have clear, actionable inputs.

This position requires someone who can think through problems, prepare structured outputs, and bring clarity before execution begins.

What will you do

● Gather, analyze, and structure business and client requirements into clear, actionable documentation

● Prepare detailed requirement documents, user stories, and functional specifications

● Break down high-level requirements into well-defined, execution-ready tasks

● Work closely with developers to explain requirements, clarify logic, and resolve functional queries

● Ensure requirements are complete, unambiguous, and aligned with business objectives

● Conduct product and feature-level analysis, including impact assessment and requirement refinement

● Perform necessary research, validation, and pre-analysis (homework) before execution

● Identify gaps, edge cases, and dependencies early in the lifecycle

● Prepare structured summaries, notes, and updates for internal alignment

● Continuously improve documentation standards, requirement quality, and analysis depth

What will you bring

● Strong experience in Business Analysis, requirement gathering, and execution-driven environments

● Mandatory exposure to the trading domain / capital markets / HFT / algorithmic trading ecosystem

● Strong understanding of trading, backtesting, and research platform workflows, including how strategy, execution, and research systems interact

● Ability to convert ambiguous inputs into clear, structured, and execution-ready outputs

● Ability to identify gaps, edge cases, dependencies, and hidden assumptions early in the lifecycle

● Strong ownership of requirement quality with a zero-ambiguity mindset — vague or incomplete specifications are considered unacceptable

● Hands-on experience with JIRA, including writing high-quality user stories using Given/When/Then standards, defining clear Definition of Done (DoD), and independently driving grooming discussions

● Ability to prepare highly structured documentation, functional specifications, and execution-ready breakdowns

● Basic proficiency in C++ (enough to understand system logic, trace workflows, and follow technical implementations)
