About the Role

At mCaffeine & Hyphen, we're looking for a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst who can transform data into strategic business decisions. This role sits at the intersection of business, data, technology, and operations, driving key initiatives across growth, supply chain, finance, product, and customer experience functions.

As a trusted partner to business leaders, you will identify opportunities, solve complex business problems, build scalable reporting frameworks, and influence decision-making through actionable insights. What You'll Do

  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, define problem statements, and drive data-backed decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into structured analytical frameworks, functional specifications, and actionable solutions.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, diagnose business challenges, and recommend strategic interventions.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, automated reports, and KPI tracking mechanisms to provide visibility into business performance.
  • Drive end-to-end analytics projects, from requirement gathering and stakeholder alignment to execution and impact measurement.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, Operations, and Finance teams to implement scalable business solutions.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and champion automation initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and decision-making speed.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on customer behavior, marketing performance, retention, supply chain, and business profitability metrics.
  • Establish data governance, reporting standards, and best practices to improve data quality and reliability across the organization.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise, and business-friendly manner.

What We're Looking For

  • 1- 4 years of experience in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Product Analytics, or Business Analysis roles, preferably in D2C, E-commerce, FMCG, Consumer Tech, or Startup environments.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel; hands-on experience with Python for data analysis and automation is preferred.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking abilities with a proven track record of driving business impact through data.
  • Ability to work with large datasets, perform root-cause analysis, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and collaborating with technical teams to drive implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High ownership, bias for action, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field from a Tier 1 Institute.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with D2C, E-commerce, Retail, Consumer Brands, or high-growth startup ecosystems.
  • Exposure to customer analytics, marketing analytics, supply chain analytics, or product analytics.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or AWS.
