Role Profile

Lloyd's List Intelligence is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our products and services. You will work closely with Product Managers, Technology, UX/UI, and key business stakeholders to define, refine, and deliver solutions that add measurable value to our customers.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in Agile product delivery, able to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria, and comfortable facilitating collaboration across cross-functional teams.

The role is a permanent, full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of this role include facilitating communication between stakeholders, and the products and development teams, refining and prioritising user stories, and ensuring requirements are clear, concise, aligned with business goals and delivering intended value.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Business Analyst within a SaaS or technology-led product environment, or other relevant experience within an agile setting (development, product etc)
  • Experience working with big data / data-intensive products
  • Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum / Kanban) and experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Demonstrable ability to write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria using BDD-style formats (e.g. Given / When / Then).
  • Experience with using common Agile tools to capture and document requirements and processes (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Miro, ProductBoard, or similar).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive and comfortable working in cross-functional teams
  • Passionate about understanding customer needs and translating them into impactful product improvements ensuring business value and usability stay at the heart of delivery
  • Skilled at facilitating discussions, workshops, and feedback sessions to align diverse stakeholders

Desirable

  • Relevant Agile/Business Analysis qualification such as CSM/PSM, PSPO/CSPO, ICAgile BA, or BCS Business Analysis
  • Familiarity with SQL or data querying for requirements validation
  • Exposure to UX research or customer journey mapping
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the maritime industry or related customer segments would be beneficial
