Business Analyst Digital Sustainability & Eco-Design
Must-Have Skills
- 810 years of relevant experience as a Functional Business Analyst, preferably in digital or sustainability-driven projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and product discovery techniques (e.g., stakeholder interviews, requirement workshops, use case analysis).
- Proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and functional specifications.
- Excellent ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and end users to capture needs, gather feedback, and validate outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
- Experience with requirements management and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, SpiraTest).
- Hands-on experience in functional testing, regression validation, and ensuring delivery quality.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Sustainability and Eco-Design practices including carbon footprint assessment, digital sustainability, and green IT principles.
- Knowledge in sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, or similar).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.
- Technical awareness of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to coordinate effectively with development teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to drive awareness and engagement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business users and stakeholders to understand sustainability goals, challenges, and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure proper understanding and implementation of sustainability-related features and metrics.
- Conduct regression and functional testing, ensuring that developed features meet business expectations.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment on objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Facilitate awareness sessions and training on sustainability and eco-design practices to promote digital sustainability across the organization.
Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years
Qualifications
BTech/MCA and equivalent degree
