Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support the design and delivery of a Salesforce-based digital platform leveraging Salesforce Health Cloud and Salesforce Experience Cloud.

This role will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements across patient access, intake, referral management, and care coordination workflows. The BA will act as the critical link between clinical/operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring solutions are aligned to business needs, compliant requirements, and user expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in healthcare
  • Experience working on Salesforce implementations
  • Strong understanding of: o Patient access and intake workflows o Care coordination and case management o Healthcare compliance (HIPAA, data privacy)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with: o Salesforce Health Cloud o Salesforce Experience Cloud
  • Familiarity with: o Behavioral health or education services o OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards)
  • Certifications: o Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Salesforce certifications

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements Elicitation & Documentation

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops with: o Behavioral health clinicians o Intake and patient access teams o Education services coordinators o Revenue cycle stakeholders
  • Gather and document: o Business requirements o Functional and non-functional requirements o User stories, use cases, and process flows
  • Translate complex workflows into clear, structured requirements and acceptance criteria

Process Analysis & Optimization

  • Analyze current-state workflows: o Patient intake and onboarding o Referral intake and triage o Eligibility verification (EVOB) o Scheduling and care coordination
  • Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation
  • Design future-state processes aligned with Salesforce capabilities

Salesforce Solution Alignment

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and Developers to: o Map requirements to Health Cloud data models and workflows o Define Experience Cloud portal functionality
  • Support configuration of: o OmniStudio components (OmniScripts, FlexCards) o Case management and care plans o Digital engagement features

User Story & Backlog Management

  • Create and manage: o User stories with detailed acceptance criteria o Epics and feature definitions
  • Prioritize backlog in collaboration with Product Manager
  • Ensure traceability from requirements to delivered functionality

Testing & Validation

  • Develop test scenarios and support: o System Integration Testing (SIT) o User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Validate that delivered solutions meet: o Business requirements o Regulatory and compliance needs
  • Document defects and support resolution

Data & Reporting Requirements

  • Define data capture and reporting needs: o Intake metrics o Referral conversion rates o Patient engagement KPIs
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure accurate reporting and dashboards

Stakeholder Communication & Change Support

  • Act as liaison between business and technical teams
  • Facilitate: o Requirements workshops o Design reviews o UAT sessions
  • Support change management and user adoption efforts
