About The Role
The Guidewire Senior Business Analyst - PolicyCenter role at PwC Acceleration Center India is a pivotal position designed for professionals with extensive experience in Guidewire applications, particularly PolicyCenter. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading complex projects that involve functional solutioning, process improvement, and strategic planning within the Guidewire Suite. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance domain processes, technical expertise in Guidewire products, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for guiding project teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with client objectives and industry best practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in Guidewire application implementation and support. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of the insurance industry, particularly Property & Casualty (P&C) lines such as auto, home, commercial, and workers compensation. Proven expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and ContactManager is essential. Additionally, familiarity with ITIL processes, project management tools like JIRA and Confluence, and SQL proficiency will be highly advantageous. Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with clients to understand business needs and translate them into functional specifications for Guidewire PolicyCenter and related modules.
- Conduct detailed analysis of client processes and develop process flows, UI mockups, and data mappings aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Create and update user stories, perform business walkthroughs, and facilitate workshops to ensure clear understanding and alignment among stakeholders.
- Design and recommend solutions addressing common challenges faced by clients across various P&C insurance lines, ensuring scalable and sustainable implementations.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and cost constraints.
- Lead proposal development efforts, including solution design, effort estimation, and presentation to prospective clients.
- Act as a functional lead, providing guidance on application evolution services (AES), incident and problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and networking to identify new service opportunities.
- Mentor and upskill junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Participate in industry thought leadership by contributing to white papers, blogs, and training sessions, positioning yourself as a subject matter expert.
- Support clients in the adoption of best practices, process improvements, and strategic roadmap discussions for Guidewire solutions.
- Ensure quality and compliance throughout project lifecycle, proactively addressing issues and escalations as needed.
