Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented
Business Analyst with expertise in
Hadoop technologies and a strong background in the banking domain. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring optimal use of data resources to drive banking operations and decision-making. As a Business Analyst, you will work alongside cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to data-driven decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements related to banking operations, including data processing, reporting, and analytics needs
- Analyze and interpret large volumes of data using Hadoop and related technologies to uncover insights that support business objectives
- Collaborate with data engineers and developers to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Design data models and optimize existing data structures to improve data quality and accessibility
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle
- Educate stakeholders on Hadoop technology and its applications in banking
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Pig, Spark, etc.) and its application in data analytics
- Experience with data mining, data modeling, and data visualization tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain
- Proficiency in Hadoop technologies and a solid understanding of the banking industry
- Experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards
- Strong project management skills and experience in Agile methodologies
