Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and is working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.
About the role:
This role will be a part of the Global Sales and Services Technology team in GSSO. This team innovates the way our team helps clients receive value, so technology leaders will be able to make smarter decisions in a different way.
The Business Analyst will play a critical role in our ongoing CRM and Sales/Services (Account Team) process transformation as part of Gartner's Global Sales and Services Operations team (GSSO). Reporting to the Associate Director of Product, the Business Analyst will support our Territories product teams in documenting enhancement requests and production issues with supporting data. The associate is expected to develop skills and demonstrate increasing independence related to product management, product development, operational efficiency and effectiveness, and other business functions.
What you will do:
- Collaboration: Partner with product owners to build out requirements for roadmap initiatives. Work closely with IT, sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure territory system solutions align with overall business objectives and technology capabilities align to the Seller/Service Experience Playbook. Partner with their respective scrum team to enable successful delivery of technology platform features/capabilities with lower complexity.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities, including user and data issues, for process improvements and system enhancements within Salesforce to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Embrace best practices, while building strong relationships with IT, Sales/Marketing, Technical Support, Business Process Organization, Reporting, and other partners.
- Partner on Solution Design: Develop and propose tech solutions that meet business needs, ensuring alignment with best practices and platform capabilities. Partner with tech and business teams to propose solutions that align to the business process requirements. Gather sales / services feedback on new or existing processes and/or use cases to guide requirements and product prioritization. Partner with support team to train and advise on level 1 support tickets.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Salesforce and Anaplan by implementing best practices for data management and governance.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes related to the product roadmaps. Ability to quickly translate conversation into process workflows.
What you will need:
- 2-3+ years of proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst, preferably working Salesforce or Anaplan projects
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks across different projects at once
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with different personalities across the organization
- Proven experience in business process documentation.
- Experience in JIRA story development and working in agile scrum teams
- Understanding of CRM systems and territories is a plus
- Salesforce certification is a plus but not required
