Job Description
The credit team at a non-banking lender keeps getting the same request from the field: change the rule, fix the report, explain the number. Someone has to sit between the branches and the technology team and make that conversation precise. That someone is this Business Analyst.
The lender gives small business and vehicle loans across Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, and is expanding its collections and credit teams. It has partnered with Flexiple to hire an analyst for its credit operations group in Mumbai or Chennai. Flexiple is a managed marketplace that helps global companies build high-performing teams in India, and it works with Indian employers of this kind too.
You will take loose requests from credit, collections and branch managers, work out what they really need, and write it up so the loan management system vendor and the internal developers build the right thing the first time. You will also look at portfolio and bucket data to show where changes would pay off, and you will test releases before they reach branches.
- 2 to 5 years as a business analyst or in a credit or collections operations role with a systems angle
- Strong SQL and Excel; you read a delinquency report without being walked through it
- Experience writing functional specifications and running user acceptance tests
- Ease with branch staff as well as engineers
- Willingness to be on site in Mumbai or Chennai, with occasional branch visits
