We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Business Analyst focused on Client Onboarding KYC and Screening. This full-time and permanent position is based in Mumbai, India (remote) with occasional travel expected to Mumbai office and offers global coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our operations and its growth.
Purpose of the role -
The Business Analyst is instrumental in enhancing the strategic and operational capabilities of our technology platforms, specifically focusing on Client Onboarding, Acceptance, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Screening applications.
This role is designed to work in close collaboration with the Senior Business Analyst. As a senior team member, you will leverage your expertise to bridge technical solutions and business needs, ensuring our technology initiatives are perfectly aligned with global business objectives and create a mutually agreed domain roadmap, enhancing platform efficiency and performance.
About the Operations Technology Team
The Operations Technology team acts as the Operational business owner for key Service Delivery applications across Corporate & Fund Services. Corporate Services domain areas include Entity Management, Document Management Systems (DMS), Client KYC and Screening, Client Regulatory Filings, Client Accounting and Payments and Productivity apps such as Workflow Management. We translate commercial and market business requirements into actionable needs and executable application roadmaps. The team is responsible for executing the Service Delivery application strategy, deploying enhancements, and application implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End Configuration:
- Work with Business & Project team from gathering requirements, analysis and configuring the FenX system, ensuring alignment with business requirements and processes.
- Design & configure Policies, journeys, dashboards, Risk components, Security Management and other system components.
- Integrating FenX application with third party applications like data & document transfer between Vistra application.
- Ability to handle projects independently from FenX Configuration side.
2. System Integration:
- Collaborate with Technology and Architecture teams to ensure seamless integration of FenX with other enterprise systems for data & document transfer.
- Assist with data migration and integration tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Integrating with screening applications, IDP is an added advantage.
3. Business Analysis:
- Lead the documentation and analysis of business requirements and user stories, ensuring they translate seamlessly into technical solutions after discussing the pro & cons of design restrictions with business.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process simplification, particularly in the configuration and continuous improvement of our Fenergo (Fen-X) platform.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional requirements.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops to gather business requirements and align stakeholder objectives.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the configuration meets functional and technical specifications.
- Identify and resolve configuration issues, ensuring a smooth transition to production.
5. Documentation and Training:
- Create detailed configuration documentation, including process flows, user guides, and configuration logs.
- Experience in preparing detailed documentation, including use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Provide support to end users and stakeholders on the configured system.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Stay updated on FenX new features and updates, incorporating them into the system as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- FenX experience: Hands-on experience with FenX, specifically in designing, configuring, and implementing the requirements.
- System integration skills: Knowledge in integrating FenX with other enterprise applications, using Fenergo APIs and middleware technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills:
- Collaborate with Development team, QA team, Scrum Master to ensure seamless service delivery and implement DevOps best practices & processes.
- Collaborate with Analysts and/or Business on prioritization and sequencing with practical consideration to benefits, costs, resourcing, dependencies, Technology/Business strategy, risk, complexity, governance, architectural integrity and technical fit with other domain / system changes.
- Present technical information in a clear, concise manner to business users and negotiate requirements across diverse teams.
- Collaboration and teamwork: Comfortable working in a team environment and collaborating with others to achieve project goals.
- Certifications in Fenergo: Relevant certifications can demonstrate expertise in FenX system configuration.
- Analytical and Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business needs and translate them into functional requirements. Ability to work on complex configurations to meet business requirements.
BAU & Release Management:
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine a structured release process for all Fenergo updates. Ensure that each release undergoes comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and rigorous quality assurance checks to guarantee robust implementation and smooth integration into our environment.
- Participate in BAU and project-based initiatives such as data migrations, new client onboarding, and system rationalization within an Agile framework.
Relevant Experience and Skills
Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 6 years in business analysis or related roles, ideally within financial services or technology transformation.
- Hands on experience in configuring Policies, journeys, dashboards, Risk components, Security Management and other FenX components.
- Candidate must demonstrate expertise in Client Onboarding, KYC, and Screening processes, with hands-on experience in Fenergo (Fen-X) products.
- Technology or Business transformation or Consulting experience in Client Onboarding, KYC & Screening (Financial Crime) (desirable).
Technical & Agile Proficiency:
- Proven ability to work in an Agile environment, manage release cycles, and oversee UAT.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Monday.com) and understanding of API integrations and data flows across systems.
Interpersonal & Analytical Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to drive and operate within a multinational and matrixed financial services group
- Strong stakeholder management abilities with experience collaborating with senior technology leaders and diverse business groups.
- Problem-Solving: Good problem-solving skills with the ability to contribute meaningfully to solution design, and the ability to challenge the business requirements and technical specifications when necessary
Essential Qualifications
- Deep experience with Client Lifecycle Management processes (Onboarding, Maintenance, Offboarding).
- Hands-on expertise with Fenergo Fen-X is critical.
- Strong track record of commitment and delivery, excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of API integrations and data flow across upstream, middleware and downstream applications.
- SQL knowledge on creating reports with in FenX
Education and Professional Qualifications:
- Advanced business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) preferred.
- Relevant degrees in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related fields are advantageous.
