Role Description: Business Analyst / Data AnalystIntern (Remote)
This is a full-time, remote internship opportunity for a Business Analyst / Data Analyst Intern. The intern will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large-scale datasets, building data models, and applying statistical methods to uncover meaningful insights.
The role involves contributing to data-driven decision-making, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, and communicating insights clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The intern will work with real-world, high-volume datasets, including lakhs of education and counselling cutoff records, enabling hands-on exposure to industry-relevant data problems and decision systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, structure, and maintain datasets from raw, unstructured, and multi-source data
- Analyze, clean, validate, and interpret large and complex datasets
- Build, optimize, and maintain data models to support analytical insights and reporting
- Apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies
- Support business, product, and strategic decisions through actionable data-driven insights
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to align analytics with business goals
- Prepare and present clear reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders
- Work extensively with real-world education and counselling datasets, including large-scale cutoff and historical admission data
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on large datasets
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Data Analytics and Data Modeling
- Good understanding of Statistics and statistical analysis techniques
- Domain understanding of Education Systems and Counselling Processes.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly through reports, visualizations, and presentations
- Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, R, or equivalent (preferred)
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related fields
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment
