We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Corporate Actions to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate action events, securities processing, and post-trade operations. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and vendors, to analyze requirements, define solutions, and ensure seamless implementation of processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business requirements related to Corporate Actions (Mandatory & Voluntary events, Dividends, Mergers, Splits, etc.) and securities processing.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand pain points, propose solutions, and translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks. Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (SEBI, DTCC, ISO standards, etc.) and internal policies. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure smooth deployment of new systems/processes.
- Monitor post-implementation performance and recommend optimizations.
Technical & Domain Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in Corporate Actions lifecycle (Announcement, Record Date, Ex-Date, Payout, Reconciliation, etc.).
- Knowledge of SWIFT messaging (MT564, MT565, MT566), ISO 15022/20022 standards, and market practices. Understanding of custody, settlement, and asset servicing workflows.
- Familiarity with SQL, data analysis tools, and business process modeling (BPMN, UML).
- Proven experience in defining business workflows and documenting requirements through BRDs and FRDs.
- A strong understanding of technology is mandatory, as the role involves close collaboration between functional analysis and system design to deliver end-to-end solutions. Knowledge of Regulatory Reporting (SEBI, RBI, DTCC, etc.) is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Corporate Actions/Securities/Operations/PostTrade Processing.
- Experience working in Investment Banking, Custody, Asset Servicing, or Capital Markets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Certification in CBAP, CFA, or FRM (preferred but not mandatory).
