Chargebee is a Revenue Growth Management platform, used by fast-growth businesses like FreshWorks, Okta, and Envoy to manage and automate their recurring billing and lifecycle operations. We are currently helping thousands of companies in 50+ countries to manage their subscription billing, powered by 800+ billing experts & backed by top-tier global Investors.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document detailed business and functional requirements from customers.
- Work with the customers, product managers, implementation consultants to gather the scope and document end-to-end requirements.
- Understand customer workflows and existing system architecture at a high level.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Define API interactions, system flows, and integration logic between platforms.
- Identify edge cases, constraints, and dependencies across systems.
- Work closely with engineering, QA, and project managers in an agile/scrum setup.
- Participate in solution discussions and help outline feasible approaches using APIs and custom workflows.
- Create functional documents, process flows, and integration diagrams.
- Assist in defining success criteria and validating solution outcomes.
- Proactively raise risks, blockers, and requirement gaps during project execution.
Requirements
- BS / MS in Computer Science, MBA or equivalent work experience.
- 2 - 5 years of experience as business analyst, product manager or similar roles
- Technical skills on JIRA, Processes, Documentation tools etc.
- Experience in financial, data analytics & fintech domain
- Deep empathy for users and a passion to deliver high-quality solutions and products that they love.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Strategic thinking and prioritization skills. Ability to make difficult tradeoff decisions, communicate decisively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional and across multiple time zones and countries.
- Hands-on experience using tools like Postman for API testing.
- Ability to interpret API documentation and map business requirements to technical flows.
Technical Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience solving complex system problems.
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations.
- Experience using tools like Confluence, JIRA, Google Docs, Postman.
- Exposure to AI tools for research and productivity enhancement.
Good To Have
Experience in subscription billing or revenue platforms.
Experience working in a customer-facing or consulting-oriented role.
