About Business line/Function: Transaction Reporting
Position Purpose: The role will report to Transaction Reporting Lead and will be primarily responsible for understanding new/existing regulatory requirements from stakeholders, ideating a suitable solution, specifying the solution from an IT perspective, validating the solution with stakeholders before release and providing post-release monitoring support to stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
- Follow and understand the regulatory transaction reporting changes in context of global markets financial products traded by the bank
- Organize or attend meetings which will clarify the need and options available to facilitate the implementation of the changes needed
- Ability to write and interpret specification artifacts like - BRDs, FSDs, user-stories and technical specifications
- Ensure that changes are delivered correctly and assist the testers in setting up test cases and validate their results
- Challenge status quo and propose process enhancement ideas. Participate/lead team meetings and help the team in the continuous improvements of our way of working
- Train the team members and ensure the knowledge transfer
- Communicate with the sponsors and stakeholders and share the progress updates
Contributing Responsibilities
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
- Good knowledge of global market products especially OTC derivatives across any asset class – Equity, Credit, Foreign Exchange, Commodity and Interest Rates
- Good knowledge of the front-to-back trade cycle, clearing, confirmation and settlement functions
- Business and data analysis skills
- Has experience in writing and interpreting business requirement documents (BRDs)
- Has experience in writing functional specification documents (FSDs) or user-stories
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Team player
- Able to write SQL queries and analyze data
Specific Qualifications
- Very good understanding of OTC derivative products and trade life cycle is necessary
- Experience in regulatory transaction reporting in any of global regulations like Dodd-Frank, EMIR, MIFID II, HKMA, MAS, ASIC, JFSA, Korea, RBI, SEBI or any regional transaction reporting
- Understanding of ISDA CDM and DRR initiatives is a plus
