About The Role

The Guidewire Senior Business Analyst - PolicyCenter role is a vital position within our technology advisory team, responsible for leading and executing complex Guidewire Suite implementations and enhancements. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through requirements gathering, solution design, and process optimization for PolicyCenter and related Guidewire applications. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, capable of managing multiple stakeholder expectations and delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget. The Senior Business Analyst will also mentor junior team members, contribute to thought leadership initiatives, and foster strong client relationships to identify new opportunities for service expansion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the insurance or P&C industry.
  • Deep expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and ContactManager applications.
  • Proficiency with requirement gathering, functional specifications, user story creation, and process modeling tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, SLA management, incident and problem management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in proposal development, solution strategy, and application evolution services (AES).
  • Knowledge of industry analysis techniques such as SWOT, PESTLE, and use case development.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data mapping, UI mockups, and process flow development.
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams, mentoring junior staff, and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand their business processes and translate them into functional specifications for Guidewire applications.
  • Develop detailed user stories, process flows, UI mockups, and data mappings aligned with client needs and industry best practices.
  • Act as a functional lead during Guidewire implementation projects, ensuring solutions meet client expectations and adhere to project timelines and budgets.
  • Provide expert guidance on Guidewire Suite modules, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and ContactManager, facilitating smooth integration and deployment.
  • Manage ITIL processes related to incident, problem, and change management to ensure system stability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and present proposals for new services, enhancements, and future roadmap discussions with clients.
  • Support clients in optimizing their business processes, leveraging Guidewire solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and networking, identifying opportunities for additional services.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Participate in thought leadership activities, including white papers, blogs, and training sessions to share knowledge and industry insights.
  • Handle escalations and provide stability during periods of client system changes or issues, demonstrating resilience and problem-solving skills.
