Job Overview
The Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying areas
for improvement, and working with stakeholders to implement solutions that align with
business goals. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, communication abilities,
and project management expertise to drive successful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed requirements.
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for
improvement.
- Develop and propose solutions to optimize processes and enhance
productivity.
- Create process models, workflows, and diagrams to illustrate improvements.
- Design Wireframes to visually represents system behaviours.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support business decisions.
- Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data analysis.
- Project Support:
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication of requirements and solutions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Solution Implementation:
- Work with development teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Participate in testing and validation of solutions to ensure quality.
- Provide training and support to end-users during implementation.
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes and
requirements.
- Develop user guides, manuals, and training materials.
- Conduct training sessions for stakeholders and end-users.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or
related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
- Proven experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and
project support.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g Visio, Lucid chart,
Balsamiq, Draw.io etc)
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, or similar).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry-specific processes and regulations.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based
- Flexible working hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
