Job purpose
Deep expertise in Fixed Income Capital Markets, trade lifecycle management, and trading platform design/build. Bridge business and technology, define requirements for complex trading workflows, and collaborate with global development and business teams to deliver highperformance, realtime solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Engage with traders, operations, and technology teams to elicit, document, and validate functional and nonfunctional requirements for trading platforms and workflows.
- Domain Expertise: Apply strong knowledge of Fixed Income products (bonds, swaps, repos), trade lifecycle (fronttoback), and regulatory/compliance considerations.
- Platform Design & Build: Partner with architects and engineers to shape platform capabilities (order management, blotter, risk, settlement) ensuring scalability and resilience.
- Protocols & Messaging: Define and validate integration requirements using SWIFT and FIX protocols; ensure accurate mapping for trade capture, confirmations, and settlements.
- RealTime Processing: Collaborate on solutions for highvolume, lowlatency trade execution and realtime position updates; support performance and reliability goals.
- Workflow Optimization: Identify gaps and propose enhancements for STP (StraightThrough Processing), exception handling, and operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Communication: Translate technical concepts into business language; present options and tradeoffs to senior stakeholders.
- Testing & UAT Support: Assist QA teams in validating workflows; ensure requirements traceability and signoff.
- Global Collaboration: Work across distributed teams in US, EMEA, and APAC; manage time zone overlaps and cultural nuances.
Key competencies
- 1015 years of experience in Business Analysis within Capital Markets, with at least 5+ years focused on Fixed Income.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, clearing/settlement processes, and regulatory frameworks (FINRA, MiFID, DoddFrank).
- Handson experience with SWIFT and FIX messaging standards; ability to interpret message schemas and troubleshoot integration issues.
- Exposure to trading platforms (e.g., ION, Bloomberg, TradeWeb) and blotter systems; familiarity with OMS/EMS workflows.
- Proven ability to document BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and process flows, proficiency in tools like Visio, JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience with realtime transaction systems, market data feeds, and latencysensitive workflows.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problemsolving skills.
- Prior experience working with global teams and managing crossborder delivery.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of derivatives (swaps, options) and structured products.
- Familiarity with cloudnative architectures, microservices, and APIdriven integration.
- Understanding data analytics for trade performance and risk metrics.
Education
Bachelor's/Master's in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
