Job Description

Aruba, an HPE Company, is a leader in next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise. We are looking for a passionate Build Systems and Tools Developer to join our engineering team. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving build infrastructure, automating workflows, and ensuring efficient development pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the BuildFlow tool and related build systems.
  • Write and manage make files, supporting custom build processes.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows using Python or Shell scripting.
  • Troubleshoot build issues and provide support to development teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve overall CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.
  • Document processes, tools, and best practices for ease of use and maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in build systems or tools development.
  • Strong understanding of at least one build system (Make, CMake, Bazel, Ninja, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Make scripting.
  • Exposure to Docker or other containerization tools.
  • Proficient in Python and/or Shell scripting.
  • Good understanding of software development workflows and version control systems (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with large-scale software projects or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools.
