Job Description

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize build systems and associated tools.
  • Write and manage makefiles and support custom build processes.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment workflows using Python or Shell scripting.
  • Troubleshoot build issues and provide support to development teams.
  • Integrate improvements into CI/CD pipelines to enhance developer experience.
  • Document build processes, tools, and workflows for maintainability and ease of use.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 24 years of experience in build systems, tool development, or related fields.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of build systems such as Make, CMake, Bazel, or Ninja.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tool development.
  • Experience with C/C++/Rust programming and compilation toolchains.
  • Hands-on experience with Make scripting and build system internals.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and writing Dockerfiles.
  • Understanding of software development workflows and version control systems such as Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to large-scale software projects or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with additional containerization or orchestration tools.
