Job Description
The Broadcast & Network Operations Engineer supports live and recorded production operations as part of the India Broadcast Engineering team. Reporting directly to the Regional Media Operations Lead (India). This role is a key contributor to reliable, high-quality global media delivery.
This position is well-suited for a technically strong production engineer with hands on experience in broadcast networking and IP video workflows, who thrives in live-production environments and enjoys collaborating across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Broadcast & Network Operations
Support day-to-day operation of live and recorded broadcast production environments
Operate and maintain network infrastructure supporting IP-based video workflows
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot encoders/decoders and contribution/distribution paths
Support VIP displays, routing, camera feeds, and IP video transport systems
Execute change windows, patching cycles, and pre-event/live-production readiness tasks
Incident & Operational Support
Act as a first-line responder for production and network incidents
Perform technical troubleshooting in low-latency, high-availability broadcast environments
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews
Escalate issues appropriately to the Regional Team Lead and global partners
Global Collaboration
Partner closely with engineering counterparts in North America, Prague, and APAC
Ensure clear handoffs, documentation, and operational continuity across regions
Must-Have Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with network infrastructure supporting broadcast systems
Practical experience with video encoders and decoders, such as (but not limited to):
AWS Elemental
Haivision
Evertz
Ross Video
Riedel
Lawo
Camera and Audio Technology
Solid understanding of IP-based video transport workflows, including camera feeds, routing, and VIP/multiview systems
Experience executing maintenance activities such as change windows and patching cycles
Proven troubleshooting skills in low-latency, live broadcast environments

Strong documentation discipline and operational rigor
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
Ability to collaborate closely with regional and global engineering partners
Good-to-Have Skills
Exposure to cloud and hybrid network concepts (Azure preferred)
Familiarity with remote production models and automated video pipelines
Experience with studio technologies or production control room environments
