Job Description

Job Title: Brand Manager Innovation

Location: Thane, Mumbai

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: MBA/PGDM from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Business School
  • Experience: 56 years of relevant experience in brand management and new product development (NPD) within the FMCG sector

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of consumer insights and behavior
  • Proven track record in New Product Development (NPD) from ideation to execution
  • Expertise in creative strategy, brand storytelling, and communication development across ATL, BTL, and digital platforms
  • High level of project management and cross-functional leadership capability
  • Proficiency in data-driven marketing decisions, leveraging tools such as Nielsen and IMRB HHP
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Prior experience in competitive, high-penetration FMCG categories (e.g., soaps, oils, talc) preferred
  • Strong passion for innovation, experimentation, and trendspotting in consumer products

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the innovation pipeline for the brand identify and size new business opportunities aligned with consumer trends and brand strategy
  • Manage the end-to-end NPD lifecycle: concept creation, consumer validation, formulation, packaging design, pricing strategy, and launch execution
  • Develop and implement brand and communication strategies to drive awareness, consideration, and trial for new launches
  • Partner with research, creative, and media agencies to develop impactful campaigns
  • Collaborate with R&D, Packaging, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure flawless project execution
  • Drive creative and artwork development aligned with brand guidelines
  • Monitor brand performance metrics (RMS, HHP, brand health scores) and identify growth opportunities
  • Conduct post-launch evaluations to derive insights and build learnings for future innovation
  • Undertake regular market visits to stay updated on consumer trends, competition, and retail execution
