Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Demand Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive market research to assess current trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies within the writing and stationery segment.
- Identify high-potential areas in Kolkata for business expansion and revenue generation.
- Forecast category-wise demand to guide product development and inventory planning.
New Product Launches
- Plan and execute new product launches by identifying suitable market segments, price points, and promotional strategies.
- Coordinate with product development and design teams to ensure market-fit offerings.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pre-launch market testing for new SKUs.
SKU & Product Management
- Track and analyze SKU performance by location, channel, and consumer segment.
- Recommend SKU rationalization or expansion based on sales data and market insights.
- Ensure optimal product assortment at retail and distribution points.
Sales Collaboration
- Provide market insights to the sales team to align brand strategies with sales goals.
- Collaborate on field promotions, dealer activations, and trade marketing plans.
- Assist in tracking the impact of marketing inputs on sales performance.
Marketing Campaigns & Brand Activities
- Plan and execute ATL campaigns (e.g., print ads, radio, outdoor) and BTL activations (e.g., in-store branding, school/college outreach, events, POS displays).
- Manage local partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement initiatives.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on market trends, product performance, and marketing ROI.
- Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on data analysis.
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 13 years of experience in brand marketing, preferably in the writing instruments/stationery industry.
- Strong understanding of Kolkata's retail and institutional market landscape.
- Proficient in market research, product planning, and ATL/BTL campaign execution.
- Analytical mind-set with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
