Role Summary
The Brand Director Softlines (India) will be responsible for building, scaling, and managing global fashion brands for the Indian market. This is an end-to-end ownership role covering brand strategy, buying, merchandising, distribution planning, and full P&L accountability across online marketplaces, D2C, and SIS formats.
The role involves evaluating new international brands for India entry, identifying market white spaces, and developing long-term growth plans aligned to Indian consumer trends. The Brand Manager leads buying and sourcing decisionsassortment planning, OTB management, vendor negotiations, pricing architecture, and lifecycle managementto ensure optimal cost, margin, and sell-through.
With complete ownership of brand-level P&L, the role drives revenue growth, margin expansion, inventory health, and profitability. The position works closely with internal teams (Marketing, Channel Sales, Finance, Supply Chain) and international brand partners to deliver successful brand launches and sustainable scale in India.
This is a high-impact, strategic role requiring strong knowledge of Indian fashion retail, sharp analytical skills, deep understanding of cost structures, and the ability to recommend effective pricing and channel strategies while maintaining brand integrity.
