About Waypoint
Waypoint is a curated lifestyle store that launched in early 2026 in Cochin. We carry home and living, beauty and wellness, books, gifting, kids and stationery under one roof - curated for people who are deliberate about the things they bring into their lives. We're looking for someone to help us tell that story, consistently and well.
The role
This is a hands-on brand and content marketing role. You'll own how Waypoint shows up — on Instagram, in-store, in collaborations, and in every piece of communication we put out. You'll work closely with the founder, brief external agencies and creators, and help build a brand that feels distinct in a crowded retail market.
This is not a strategy-only seat. You'll be making things every week.
What you'll own
→ Content calendar and consistent output across Instagram, stories, and reels — product features, lifestyle content, brand campaigns
→ Brand voice and visual consistency across all touchpoints — posts, in-store signage, packaging, and campaign materials
→ Brief and manage external partners — designers, photographers, videographers, and influencers
→ Collaborate with vendors and brand partners to co-create content and run joint activations
→ Build awareness through community, local press, and digital — not just paid spend
→ Track what's working, iterate quickly, and share regular updates on what's moving the needle
What we're looking for
→ 2–4 years in content, brand, or social marketing — retail, lifestyle, or consumer is a bonus
→ Strong writing instincts — you know the difference between copy that sounds nice and copy that does something
→ Comfortable briefing agencies and holding them to a standard
→ You shoot decent content on a phone and aren't waiting for a full crew to get it done
→ You understand brand logic — why tone, consistency, and story matter beyond aesthetics
→ Malayalam and English fluency; working knowledge of Cochin's consumer culture is a real advantage
Nice to have
→ Experience with a D2C or lifestyle brand
→ Familiarity with Meta Ads and digital marketing as a whole
→ An eye for curation and visual merchandising
→ Prior work with local collaborations, events, or community activations
What this isn't
A corporate marketing role. We don't have a large team, a lengthy approvals process, or a ₹50L quarterly ad budget. What we do have is a brand worth building, real autonomy, and a product mix that's genuinely interesting to market.
