Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Boomi Developer with 5 years of hands-on integration experience who can design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade integrations on the Boomi platform.
You will create APIs, automate workflows, connect applications, synchronize data, and support the integration needs of internal teams and global customers. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, technical depth, and a passion for building scalable system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Development
- Design and build integration processes on the Boomi platform.
- Develop connectors, mappings, data transformations, and orchestration workflows.
- Implement reusable and scalable integration patterns.
- API & Workflow Automation
- Create and manage REST/SOAP APIs through the Boomi platform's API capabilities.
- Build automated workflows connecting internal and external systems such as ERPs, CRMs, databases, and project management tools.
- Configure Boomi runtime environments as required for deployments.
- Data & System Connectivity
- Integrate cloud and on-prem applications with secure and reliable data exchange.
- Implement robust logging, exception handling, and retry strategies.
- Work with relational databases and API-based systems for seamless data synchronizations.
- Testing, Deployment & Documentation
- Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing of Boomi processes.
- Manage deployment cycles, versioning, and configuration across environments.
- Prepare documentation for integration flows, mappings, and API specifications.
- Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
- Monitor integration performance and optimize workflows for efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data or workflow challenges.
- Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Participate in requirement workshops, architecture discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
- Mentor junior team members on Boomi development practices.
- Provide input to improve integration architecture and automation strategy.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in integration development.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Boomi platform.
- Experience working with global customers (US/EU preferred).
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in:
- Boomi integrations
- API development and management
- XML/JSON data transformation
- REST/SOAP connectivity
- SQL and database concepts
- Nice-to-have:
- JavaScript/Groovy scripting
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure
- ETL or data pipeline experience
- EDI/B2B integrations
