Job Description: Boom Barrier Technician

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Boom Barrier Technician to handle installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automatic and manual boom barrier systems across residential and commercial sites. The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on field experience, and a customer-focused approach to ensure timely service delivery and high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
- Install manual and automatic boom barrier systems as per standard operating procedures.
- Configure and integrate RFID systems, sensors, control boards, gate motors, and networking components.
- Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure smooth operation.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to electrical wiring, automation, hardware, and system integration.
- Attend breakdown calls within defined turnaround time (TAT) and ensure minimal downtime.
Customer & Site Coordination
- Coordinate with site representatives or society management for access and issue resolution.
- Provide clear updates on service status and resolution timelines.
- Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily service and installation reports, including complaints and AMC/CMC visits.
- Upload work completion photos/videos in the ticketing or reporting system.
- Track spare parts usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and site-specific guidelines during installations and service visits.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and operational standards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, networking, and automation systems.
- Hands-on experience with RFID systems, sensors, PLCs, and gate motors.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license is mandatory.
- Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong focus on timely delivery and service quality.
