Job Summary
The Body Shop Advisor serves as the primary point of contact for customers requiring vehicle collision and body repair services. This role involves assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, coordinating with technicians and insurance companies, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess vehicle damage related to accidents or collisions
- Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., CCC ONE, Audatex, Mitchell)
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and approvals
- Explain repair processes, timelines, and costs clearly to customers
- Schedule repair appointments and manage workflow
- Monitor repair progress and provide status updates
- Coordinate with body technicians, painters, and parts departments
- Perform final vehicle inspections before delivery
- Ensure proper documentation of all repairs and transactions
- Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
Requirements
- Prior experience in automotive service advising or body shop operations preferred
- Basic knowledge of vehicle collision repair processes
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and manage workflow efficiently
- Familiarity with estimation software is an advantage
