Biology Researcher (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training

About The Role

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working scientists and academics. If you hold a Master's or PhD in biology or a related field and want to apply your expertise in a meaningful new direction, this is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
  • Apply deep expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines to design complex, rigorous problem sets
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI reasoning in the life sciences
  • Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
  • Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis
  • Exceptional written communication skills with sharp attention to scientific detail
  • Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without direct supervision

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in academic publishing, peer review, or research mentorship
  • Familiarity with computational biology tools or bioinformatics pipelines
  • Experience designing exam questions, problem sets, or technical assessments
