Role Description The BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing, updating, and managing detailed BIM models for road, traffic, and related infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and design standards. Day-to-day activities include translating design and construction drawings into accurate 3D models, coordinating model information with architecture and MEP disciplines, and supporting design teams with clash detection and model-based reviews. The role involves collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to maintain data integrity, organize model documentation, and prepare drawings and visualizations for design approvals and construction. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad, requiring regular coordination with multidisciplinary project teams and adherence to internal quality and drafting standards.

Job Description

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the following areas:

1. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
2. Proficiency in developing technical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D, with experience in road infrastructure projects.
3. Preparation of road layout plans, plan & profile drawings, sections, elevations, longitudinal sections, cross sections, finished road surfaces, and other engineering drawings from design sketches and engineering data.
4. Develop or support the design team in creating 3D road models using survey data, surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and grading tools in Autodesk Civil 3D. (Mandatory)
5. Basic understanding of the Subassembly Composer tool for creating and customizing Civil 3D subassemblies. (Mandatory)
6. Develop or support the design team in creating 3D utility network models using the Pipe Network and Pressure Network tools in Civil 3D. (Optional)
7. Basic understanding of the Part Builder and Content Catalog Editor tools for creating and customizing Pipe Network and Pressure Network components. (Optional)
8. Create, edit, and manage Civil 3D annotation labels.
9. Hands-on experience with feature lines, surfaces, contour grading, and surface editing/manipulation.
10. Experience managing Xrefs, Data Shortcuts (DREFs), Sheet Sets, and drawing production workflows.
11. Good understanding of drawing extraction from 3D models.
12. Hands-on experience with Navisworks, including clash detection and clash resolution workflows.
13. Participate in model reviews, update models, and contribute to project deliverables.
14. Understanding of Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
15. Good understanding of BIM workflows for road infrastructure projects.
16. Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and participate in model quality checks.
17. Ability to develop and maintain BIM/CAD standards, templates, and project-specific modeling and drafting requirements in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.
18. Collaborate effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and BIM teams to deliver coordinated and clash-free models.
19. Support multidisciplinary teams throughout various stages of project delivery.
20. Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies, taking on new challenges, and continuously developing skills as project requirements evolve.
