Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical BIM Modeler with strong experience in CAD to BIM conversion and Revit family creation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing accurate 3D electrical models and supporting project teams in delivering high-quality construction documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert 2D CAD drawings into accurate 3D BIM models using Revit
- Develop, modify, and maintain electrical BIM models for construction projects
- Create and manage custom Revit families for electrical components
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, architectural, structural) to ensure model accuracy
- Ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and BIM protocols
- Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues
- Update models based on design changes and site requirements
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of BIM files
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Electrical BIM Modeling
- Strong expertise in CAD to BIM conversion
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Electrical) and AutoCAD
- Experience in Revit family creation (parametric families preferred)
- Understanding of electrical systems and construction workflows
- Familiarity with BIM standards and coordination processes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of clash detection tools (e.g., Navisworks)
- Exposure to international BIM standards is a plus
