BIM Modeler

Key Responsibilities:

• BIM Modeling: Create, modify, and manage 3D BIM models using software such as Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM tools to support the design and construction process.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure BIM models are aligned with project requirements, building codes, and client specifications.
• Model Coordination: Assist in coordinating different disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP) in the BIM environment, ensuring that all models are integrated and clash-free.
• Documentation: Generate construction documentation, including drawings, plans, schedules, and reports, from the BIM model. Ensure accuracy and consistency in all project deliverables.
• Quality Control: Perform quality checks and model reviews to ensure that the BIM models are accurate, complete, and meet the required standards for design and construction.
• Clash Detection: Use BIM software tools (such as Navisworks) to identify and resolve potential conflicts between different building systems (e. g. , structural, MEP) before construction begins.
• Collaboration with Project Teams: Support project teams in utilizing the BIM model throughout all project phases, from concept design through to construction and facility management.
• Revisions and Updates: Update and revise the BIM model as needed during the project lifecycle, reflecting changes to design, materials, or schedules.
• Training Support: Provide support and guidance to junior team members or internal staff on BIM software and model management best practices.
• Sustainability Efficiency: Assist in the implementation of sustainable design strategies and the optimization of building performance through the use of BIM tools.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in BIM modeling, ideally in an architecture, engineering, or construction environment.
• Software Proficiency: Expertise in BIM software, primarily Revit, and familiarity with other tools like Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dynamo, or similar BIM-related software.
• Knowledge of Building Systems: Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP systems and how they integrate into the BIM model.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate and high-quality work, paying attention to detail and following project guidelines.
• Collaboration Skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills, as this role requires close interaction with various stakeholders and departments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with 3D rendering software and visualization tools (e. g. , Enscape, V-Ray).
• Familiarity with BIM 360 or cloud-based BIM collaboration platforms.
• Understanding of LEED or other sustainable building standards.
• Knowledge of construction processes and sequencing, with the ability to model building elements efficiently.

Work Environment:

• Office-based with some opportunities for site visits to observe project progress and gather necessary data.
• Collaborative, technology-driven work environment with an emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.
