BIM Coordinator

We are a Multinational Project Management and BIM consulting, looking for a candidate to work in our India offices. There will be a potential opportunity to transfer to our Middle East Offices as per the requirement in future.

Position Title

BIM Coordinator Architecture / Structure / MEP (Multidisciplinary)

Role Purpose

This role requires sound knowledge of architectural, structural, and MEP engineering principles and international standards, as relevant to BIM modeling, coordination, and information management.

The BIM Coordinator will be solely responsible for managing and delivering the complete BIM scope of the assigned project, acting as the single point of accountability for all BIM-related activities from Pre-Design through Project Closeout (LOD 100500).

The role requires comprehensive expertise in BIM governance, ISO 19650 principles, BIM execution frameworks, coordination protocols, and industry best practices, with the ability to independently plan, manage, validate, and deliver all discipline BIM models, federated coordination models, information sets, and reports in strict accordance with the Client's BIM Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and applicable project standards.

The BIM Coordinator is expected to operate independently, managing multidisciplinary BIM teams and enforcing BIM rules, naming conventions, data structures, and information workflows. The role includes leading Navisworks-based model federation, clash detection, coordination forums, and clash resolution processes, ensuring the delivery of clash-free, constructible, data-rich, and submission-ready models at every project stage.

This position requires strong hands-on capability in multidisciplinary coordination, quantity extraction, Scan-to-BIM workflows, and the integration of existing-condition data, laser scan information, and as-built verification models. The BIM Coordinator is also expected to support and manage 4D construction sequencing and phasing, and 5D cost workflows, as well as AR/VR and immersive visualization outputs, where defined in the project scope.

Overall, the role demands strong technical leadership in project BIM planning and scheduling, model review, quality control, data validation, and information management, while acting as the primary interface between BIM modelers, BIM management, and project stakeholders, ensuring timely, accurate, compliant, and high-quality BIM delivery without reliance on additional coordination support.

Required Skills & Software Proficiency

• Autodesk Revit (Advanced Architecture / Structure / MEP)
• Navisworks Manage (Model federation, clash detection, coordination)
• AutoCAD (Model extraction and coordination)
• BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred
• Strong understanding of:
• LOD standards
• COBie
• 4D & 5D BIM workflows
• Scan-to-BIM processes
• Asset Information Models (AIM)
• AR / VR applications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related field
• 710 years of BIM experience
• Minimum 35 years in a BIM Coordinator role
• Experience on large-scale projects (education, aviation, healthcare, infrastructure preferred)
• Prior experience on Middle East projects is a strong advantage
