As the SAP BI/BW4HANA/BDC Delivery Manager, the role will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects using SAP BW on HANA and other related technologies (SAP Business Data Cloud, etc). Lead a team of BI professionals, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure alignment with business objectives to deliver high-quality data solutions. Provide architectural landscape and design solutions, ensure operational efficiency, and drive successful implementation of BI solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design data models and architectural solutions within SAP BW4Hana / Data Sphere
- Develop the optimal architecture for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Model
- Define the data flow process and mapping from source to target systems.
- Create design documents for BW implementation, modelling principles within the application and DB layer and system configurations.
- Monitor and optimize performance of data models and reporting queries.
- Implement strategies for improving query performance (e.g., indexing, aggregates).
- Ensure that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
- Perform data modelling and create data flows for real-time data ingestion using data sphere
- Integrate SAP Datasphere with other data platforms (SAP HANA, SAP BW, third-party systems)
- Lead offshore delivery for SAP BW4/HANA applications across multiple businesses, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.
- Strong knowledge of SAP technologies, including S/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Understanding of ABAP and SQL.
- Knowledge on security concepts, authorisations and roles
- Stay updated on SAP technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with BW4Hana and SAP Datasphere
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in BW4 Hana including Extraction, Modelling, and Query design. Experience in modelling using calculation views on Hana DB
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience on Data Sphere and understanding of SAP BDC
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading implementation of BI project using BW4Hana/ Data Sphere
- Strong proficiency in data engineering tools and techniques, including ETL, SQL, and Python
- Experience with BW extractors, Master Data, DSOs, Cubes, Composite Providers, Open Hub Extracts, etc.
- Understanding of data extracts, report design and report development on SAC and power BI
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and their data science tools (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of SAP data structures and CDS views
Educational Qualifications: Bachelors/master's in computer engineering
