We're looking for the greatest minds in data & analytics, data engineering, software development, machine learning optimization and more. All with the aim to empower out International expansion and delight our consumers through addressing of current and future facing butsiness challenges that are complex and require insightful and impactful solutions.
We are looking for seasoned BI Engineering Manager to join our team to lead BI Engineering team focused on delivering our international Data Product roadmap across 4 regions. We are looking for a BI leader who cares deeply about the craft and can embed their experience across a global team. You'll be working hands-on alongside engineers across various domains with a vision to power Digital Commerce growth. Responsibilities
Delivery and Execution
- In partnership with Data Product Managers, translate roadmaps into realistic technical plans, participate ini feedback sessions, and ensure clear workflows for new builds vs ongoing maintenance
- Own end-to-end delivery of Business Intelligence front ends across regional pods to ensure on-time, quality execution
- Manage workload and priorities across the team, balancing regional needs with global initiatives
- Coordingate closely with Data Engineering to ensure data availability and alignment on modeling needs for visualizations
Technical Leadership
- Serve as a hands-on technical lead comfortable building reports, reviewing work, and setting the standard for quality
- Define and own the report hieratchy framework, enabling coherent reporting across sub-channels, markets, regions and global levels
- In partnership with the broader team champion the evolution towards a semantic and governed analytical layers to enable self-service
- Stay informated and actively participate in the AI for BI strategy and technology, collaborating with Prodcut Managers, the US peers and wider Pepsico Data & Analytics strategy team
- Represent Digital Commerce BI Engineering in cross-functional technical forums
Engineering Excellence
- Establish BI engineering culture and ways of working that defines how BI engineers collaborate, share knowledge and maintain consistency
- Embed standards and best practices including SLAs, version control, documentation, testing
- Ensure all outputs guide the user through their questions through clear logical flows, appropriate drill-paths, clear hierarchies
- Establish a consistent visual identity for all BI outputs, including patterns and approaches across regional pods to maximize reusability and reduce duplication
- Definie the design-to-development process, ensuring seamless handoffs between all the teams
Talent and Team Development
- Lead, coach and develop distributed team
- Continously identify growth and upskilling opportunities shaping career growth, training and performance pathways that develop craftsmanship
- Foster culture of craft, attention to detail, accountability and collaboration
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in BI/analytics engineering with at least 2 years of leading distributed teams across multiple timezones
- Experience in Retail, E-commerce or Financial Services domain is preferred.
- Track record of establishing BI standards, ways of working, or engineering practices in a growing environments
- Deep technical hands on knowledge PowerBI, SQL, dbt is a must, exposure to of at least Python, Airflow , DBT, AWS, Azure preferred
- Strong understanding and awareness of emerging AI for BI capabilities and trands
- Familir with data governance, data quality frameworks, lineage and metadata management
- Skilled in agile delivery, sprint planning, backlog managmenet, and multi-team coordination across multiple products
- Proven ability to lead through managers and not just individual contributors
- Strong coaching and mentorship skills with a track record of growing engineering talent
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with Product, Data Engineering, Atchitecture, and business stakeholders
- Ability to translate business requirements into data engineering tasks and technical roadmaps
- Strong prioritization skills balancing long-term scalability with short-term delivery needs
- Ability to adapt leadership and communication styles depending on the audience
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related analytics field
