About the Role ;
We are looking for an experienced Oracle Developer with strong expertise in Oracle databases, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, and data integration. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and optimize database solutions to support business applications and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Work on Oracle database design, data modeling, and schema creation.
- Develop and enhance complex stored procedures and business logic in PL/SQL.
- Collaborate with application development teams to integrate backend logic with front-end applications.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and apply tuning techniques (SQL tuning, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis).
- Perform data migration, ETL processes, and integration with other systems.
- Support production deployments, troubleshoot defects, and provide root-cause analysis.
- Maintain documentation, technical specifications, and ensure coding standards are followed.
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams to support ongoing development and enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5 -7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c).
- Strong expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle performance tuning.
- Experience with data modeling, database design principles, and normalization.
- Proficiency in writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and packages.
- Experience with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, or APEX (if required by project).
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration workflows, and batch jobs.
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux environment and shell scripting is an advantage.
