The Senior Business Analyst, Tax Product Development (Senior) is responsible for analyzing complex business processes, identifying areas for improvement, developing strategic solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement new systems or process changes, often leading projects and providing expert insights to guide decision-making at a high level within an organization.
Responsibilities
- Gather, elicitate, document business requirements and conduct process mapping, gap and data analysis
- Create detailed business cases and support successful project execution
- Identify business needs and evaluate opportunities for operational improvement
- Translate stakeholders need into clear functional and technical requirements
- Support backlog management, iteration planning, UAT planning and traceability
- Facilitate workshops, backlog grooming and stakeholder discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a focus in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Finance, or Accounting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Finance, or Accounting, preferred
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in business analysis or product roles, preferably with exposure to tax, software, or enterprise systems
- Experience delivering requirements, process models, and functional documentation across complex initiatives
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery environments
License/Certification:
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar preferred
Software:
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills, with advanced Excel proficiency and experience using reporting and business intelligence tools
- Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and data mapping across enterprise platforms
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Atlassian, or similar tools, supporting backlog management and delivery within Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Understanding of AI-enabled business processes and automation use cases, including applying analytics and intelligent solutions within enterprise environments
