We're Hiring: Battery Technician

At LAT Aerospace, we're building a clean-sheet Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) aircraft to transform regional air mobility in India. We're looking for a Battery Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and maintenance of our high-voltage energy storage systems from lithium-based module builds to pack-level validation and safe operations.
What you'll do
- Assemble battery modules and packs, including cell preparation, tab welding assistance, insulation application, and pack structural integration.
- Support high-voltage battery bring-up, charging, balancing, and validation across ground test rigs and flying hardware.
- Perform battery health checks, capacity tests, insulation resistance tests, and voltage verification.
- Log and track charge/discharge cycles, temperature data, and long-term storage conditions; maintain accurate records for traceability.
- Handle high-voltage components and follow strict electrical safety protocols (PPE, lockout-tagout, verification procedures).
- Work with engineers to identify pack-level or cell-level faults, document issues, and rapidly support iteration cycles.
- Maintain inventory of cells, modules, busbars, insulating materials, fasteners, and battery-specific tooling.
- Ensure proper storage, transport, and handling of cells and packs according to safety and manufacturer requirements.
What we're looking for
- Experience with high-voltage battery systems in EVs, aerospace, robotics, or related industries.
- Hands-on expertise in battery assembly processes cell handling, bussing, insulation, pack builds, and testing.
- Familiarity with high-voltage safety, battery management systems (BMS), and diagnostic workflows.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and build instructions with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with multimeters, insulation testers, thermal sensors, torque tools, and electrical assembly equipment.
Bonus: Experience with HV safety certifications, battery cell testing labs, or aerospace battery standards.
