Battery Development Engineer

Qualification: M. Tech / B Tech in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Act as technical focal point for lithium ion battery packs in pack electric area

- Specification creation of electrical components of the battery pack like contactors, fuses etc.

-Designing of high voltage busbars and low voltage cable harness, support brackets.

- Development of parts together with the supplier

- Test planning and analysis of the test results.

- Perform basic FEM simulations like eigen frequency calculations and static load case analysis

- Creation of 2D drawings

- Design of layout which includes designing electric circuit, bundle drawings, 3D models, mounting and assembly drawings

- Perform DFMEA, DVPR and risk mitigation activities

- Collaborate with cross functional team and supplier

- Provide technical guidance to other team members

Additional Skills:

-Experience in development of Electrical components.

-Design knowledge of HV Bus bars, LV Harnesses.

- Experience with Plastic bracket/holder design for mounting the electrical components.

- Advance knowhow in CATIA V5 software is must to have.

- Good analytical skills are needed

-- Strong communication and presentation skill set is necessary

- Knowhow of GD & T and its application

- Good Knowhow of Battery pack components and eMobility system

- Good understanding of EMI and EMC considerations
