Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience behind the bar, excellent product knowledge, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. This role requires consistency, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
- Prepare and serve beveragesincluding classic cocktails, house specials, and standard drinkswith accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain proper bar setup, cleanliness, and organisation throughout the shift.
- Handle daily bar mise en place including garnish prep, batching, refilling, and equipment checks.
- Follow operational procedures, hygiene standards, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
Guest Interaction & Service
- Greet guests at the bar and provide warm, friendly, and attentive service.
- Make recommendations based on guest preferences and promote signature drinks.
- Handle special requests, complaints, or concerns professionally.
Product Knowledge
- Maintain strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Stay updated on new drink trends, techniques, and seasonal menus.
- Participate in beverage tastings, training sessions, and menu development when required.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with servers and the floor team to support smooth service flow.
- Maintain effective communication with colleagues and management during operations.
- Assist teammates during busy service hours as needed.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels, track daily usage, and report shortages promptly.
- Help with bar inventory, wastage control, and restocking duties.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all beverages and bar materials.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a restaurant, lounge, pub, cocktail bar, or hotel environment.
- Solid understanding of cocktail preparation, mixology basics, and bar operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm, organised, and efficient during high-volume service.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
- Experience in a craft cocktail program or high-volume bar.
- Knowledge of wine service, bar equipment, and advanced mixology techniques.
