Role Description
This full-time hybrid position for a BARC Level 2 (Radiological Safety Officer or RSO) professional requires a balance of onsite and remote work based out of Pune, Maharashtra. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols, conducting safety inspections, maintaining detailed safety documentation, and providing guidance on radiological safety. The role also involves identifying risks, implementing control measures, and conducting training sessions to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of radiation safety regulations, compliance requirements, and related standards
- Experience in conducting safety inspections, documentation, and reporting
- Proficiency in identifying risks and implementing preventive and corrective measures
- Strong skills in communication to effectively provide training and guidance on radiation safety
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work in hybrid settings and manage time efficiently
- Relevant professional certifications, especially BARC Level 2, are a must
- Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Hands-on experience with non-destructive testing or radiation safety in alignment with industry practices is an advantage
