Job Description

Seeking a Business Head for a renowned bakery.

The following are the roles and responsibilities.

  • Staff Management:
  • Train, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional performance and service quality.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage and adherence to attendance policies.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including inventory management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Implement operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Customer Service:
  • Guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service standards.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to inform service improvements.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor and control costs and expenses to meet budgetary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regular reports on sales, revenue, and expenditures.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on financial planning and strategy.
  • Menu and Facility Management:
  • Work with the General Manager to develop and update the menu, ensuring quality and consistency in food and beverage offerings.
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant, ensuring a pleasant environment for customers.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational, coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Marketing and Sales:
  • Actively participate in marketing and sales activities, including customer acquisition, B2B sales, and off-premise catering (ODCs).
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Report daily on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales data, and other relevant metrics to the General Manager.
  • Data Management and Reporting:

  • Ensure all staff are trained and proficient in using Petpooja for their respective duties.
  • Use data analytics from Petpooja to inform decision-making and optimize restaurant operations.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the General Manager, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Demand Forecasting and Seasonal Planning:
  • Utilise data trends and insights from Petpooja to forecast ingredient demand and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Plan for seasonal variations in ingredient availability and pricing, ensuring consistent menu offerings.
  • Training and Development:
  • Ensure ongoing training programs for staff to maintain high standards of service, safety, and compliance.
  • Facilitate professional growth opportunities for employees, such as cross-training in different roles or leadership development.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Stay updated with local health regulations and ensure the restaurant complies with all health and safety standards, including food safety, fire safety, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement emergency procedures, including fire drills and first aid protocols.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
  • Develop and manage customer loyalty programs to encourage repeat business.
  • Engage with the local community through events, partnerships, or sponsorships to build brand loyalty.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Practices:
  • Implement sustainable practices such as waste reduction, recycling, and responsible sourcing.
  • Monitor and optimize energy usage in the restaurant, including kitchen equipment, lighting, and HVAC systems.
  • Quality Control:
  • Establish procedures for maintaining food quality and consistency, including regular audits and taste tests.
  • Monitor and improve service delivery, ensuring that staff adhere to service standards and protocols.
  • Technology Integration:
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring it is up-to-date and functioning smoothly.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to manage the restaurant's online presence, including social media, website updates, and online reviews.
  • Event and Catering Management:
  • Plan and execute special events or theme nights to attract customers.
  • Manage and grow catering services, including off-premise events and corporate partnerships.
